Floretta (Smith) Jasper

May 27, 1933 ~ 2010

CHICKASHA - Funeral Services for Floretta Jasper will be Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010 at 1 p.m., at the First & Georgia Church of Christ.

Floretta Smith was born on May 27, 1933, She was born to the union of Dove Smith, Sr. and Rosanna Smith. Floretta was one of six children: Dove Smith, Jr., Juanita Woods, Zevely Debrow, Arletta Miles, and Mary Wilson.

Floretta Smith was married to the late Clyde C, Morgan, Jr. to the union were born four children, to whom she was devoted. Jacquelyn Morgan, Chris Cavil (Jafus), Troy Morgan, Sharon Noble (Gerald). Many years later, she married the late Richard W. Jasper.

She was the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren: Dr. Kenyatta (Faith) Cavil, Cheo (Lorie) Cavil, Kwame (Shara) Cavil, Mazi (Lauren) Noble, Mikal Noble, Ashani (Jamaal) Leviston, Troy D. Morgan, Joan Morgan, and the late Julius Morgan.

She has nine great-grandchildren: Abeni, Imani, Coby, Cory, Zyanna, Kamyia, Skylar, Kwame, Jr. and Jackson.

Floretta Jasper was preceded in death by her grandmother; Laura Lofton, parents; Rosanna and Dove Smith, Sr., Sister, Mary Wilson, brother, Dove Smith, Jr., a niece Andrea Blanton, and one grandson, Julius Morgan.

She lived in Chickasha most of her life and attended Lincoln School. She received her CNA training from the Canadian Valley Vo-Tech Center. She worked most of her life as a home health aid. She was a member of the First & Georgia Church of Christ.
