Arta Lou (Peace) Janway
February 24, 1933 ~ October 3, 2013

Funeral Services for Arta Lou Janway have been scheduled for 11:00 AM, Monday, October 7, 2013 at Hayhurst Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Burial will be at Uniontown Cemetery in Uniontown, Arkansas under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Home.

Arta Lou Janway was born February 24, 1933 in Uniontown, Arkansas the daughter of Ural Sanford "Pa Peace" and Marjorie Madeline (Howell) Peace. She died Thursday, October 3, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was 80 years of age.

The former Miss Arta Lou Peace was a 1951 graduate of McAlester High School in McAlester, Oklahoma. She married Eugene "Gene" Janway on August 2, 1952 in Bugtussle, Oklahoma. They moved to Broken Arrow in 1967. She was "Grandma Lou" and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and working on crafts. She was a member of Northside Christian Church. Memorials may be made to Northside Christian Church, 1201 N. Elm Pl., Broken Arrow, OK 74012.

She is survived by: Husband, Gene Janway, Broken Arrow, OK; Daughters, Connie and husband Larry Covington, Broken Arrow, OK, Margie Jeter, Copan, OK; Son, Tim Janway, Broken Arrow, OK; Grandchildren, Traci, Bryan and wife Ashley, Kristin and husband Kyle, Cami, Brady, Hunter, Keaton, Marley; Brother, Bernard and wife Judy Peace, Tulsa, OK.

She was preceded in death by Brother, Beauford Peace, her Parents, And Step Mother, Genew Peace.
