Agnes (Hauff) James-Harvey

Aug 09, 1919 ~ Apr 20, 2005

She entered eternal life to be with those who have preceded her. Born in Madill, Oklahoma to Chester and Mary Ellen Hauff. In 1937 she married Emerson Lee James, they moved to Bakersfield in 1945 to Sunset Camp.

She was a no nonsense person doing what ever it took to provide for her family. Agnes was a hard worker. She worked in the fields alongside her family as so many did during that time.

She was preceded in death by Emerson in 1965, the father of her three children. She was married to J.W. Harvey in 1978. He preceded her in death in 1982.

She is survived by her daughter, Christine Buford and husband, Bud; son, Sonny James and wife, Shirley; son, Donald Gene James and wife, Vivian. She was blessed with six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, one soon to arrive. Her one great-great-granddaughter, Jocelyn Newton awaits her in Heaven. She leaves behind her ex-daughter-in-law, Phyllis and many more family and friends. She had two brothers who are deceased, William and Walter Hauff. She was a beloved mother and grandmother and will be missed by all.

The family wishes to Thank Hoffman Hospice, Dr. E. Nickols, the nursing staff at Memorial Hospital (second floor) and the staff at Emmanuel SJCC.
