ENID, OK — Memorial service with military honors for E.J. James, 57, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Kenneth Wade officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 2, 2013, from 7-9 p.m. Cremation will follow the visitation.

E.J. was born April 17, 1956, in Tulsa, Okla., the son of Ernest and Darlene Scott James and died Monday, Sept. 30, 2013.

He was united in marriage to Linda Arant on Oct. 2, 1978, in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

E.J. was proud to serve his country as a veteran of the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict.

He was owner and operator of the H and H Bait Shop.

E.J. served as president of ABATE in Denver, Colo., from 1985 to 1988, past president of the Enid Men’s Garden Club and was president and founder of Necessary Evil MC.

E.J. enjoyed riding and building Harley Davidson Motorcycles, hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors, especially camping. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Linda; two sons, Jesse of Enid, and Frank and his wife Dayna of Enid; his mother, Darlene Barnes of Texas; his father, Ernest James of Vian, Okla.; a brother, Steve and wife Janet of Enid; and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Dekon James.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
