Oleta (Cooper) Jackson
June 1, 1943 ~ February 18, 2023 (age 79)

Oleta Jackson of Durant passed peacefully at home on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the age of 79. She was born on June 1, 1943 in Durant, Oklahoma to Clarence and Lorene (Sinor) Cooper. In June 1976, she married Kenneth Jackson in Denison, Texas.

Oleta retired from Texas Instruments. In her retirement years she enjoyed many activities. She enjoyed spending time with grandkids, family, and fishing. She also had a love of games including dominos, marbles, and shuffleboard.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters Angela Mills of Denison, Texas, Lesa Hughes of Calera, Oklahoma, Beth Parker of Mead, Oklahoma, and Dana Clure of Durant, Oklahoma, and her two sisters Helen Mullens and Glenda Holland both of Mead, Oklahoma. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Lorene Cooper, her loving husband Kenneth Jackson, her sisters JoyFay Cooper, Betty Mullens, and Kay Lowery, her brother Nelson “Dude” Cooper, and her good friend JR Adkins.

A memorial service to honor Oleta will be at 2:00 on March 18th at Kim and Beth Parker’s residence in Mead, Ok.
