Theresa Lee Jackey of Durant, OK passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at the age of 71. Theresa was born May 12, 1948 in Urbana, Ohio to Earl Francis Lewis and Martha Mae (Baumgardner) Whedden.

She graduated from McClain High School in Greenville, Ohio and attended college where she received her Associates Degree. She worked on an assembly line for Boeing Electronics in Dallas, TX where she retired. Theresa loved reading, crocheting, and going to the casino and traveling with her sister. She moved to Durant six years ago coming from Arkansas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one son Bryan Butcher, grandson Justin Waldroop, and a sister Rose Baldwin.

Theresa is survived by her daughters Karri Hickman and husband Randal of Durant, OK and Marisa Keeland of Sherman, TX, one sister Marita Roberts of Justin, TX, three brothers Thomas Lewis and wife Elizabeth of Dallas, Georgia, Earl Lewis and wife Kathy of Justin, TX, and Robin Stanforth and wife Mary of Calhoun, GA, two grandsons Tracey Hickman and fiancé Melissa of Coalgate, OK and Zachary Hickman and wife Angel of Durant, OK, one granddaughter Shelby Butcher and fiancé Clark of Ft. Worth, TX; 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her strength in relationship with God was unshakable. She believed all things in life were in his hands and she trusted her faith that he would provide and be there unconditionally.

Mathew 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, “with man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Brown’s Funeral Service from 8am to 5pm. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
