Inez R. (Adams) Irby

December 6, 1914 ~ Feb. 25, 2002

Inez R. Irby died at Woodland Memorial Hospital Monday, Feb. 25, at age 87.

Born December 6, 1914 in Pittsburg, Oklahoma, Mrs. Irby moved to Woodland in 1936 at the age of 22. She was the daughter of James Milton Adams and Effie E. (Adams) Lowe.

Mrs. Irby worked as a bookkeeper for Montgomery Ward and Sears for 35 years and was active in the Senior Bowling League in Woodland after she retired.

She will be remembered by her family as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Irby is survived by daughter, Billie Joyce Robinson and husband Cleve of Woodland; grandchildren Lori Hendrix and husband David, and Mitch Robinson and wife Gina, all of Woodland; and great-grandchildren Brian and Andrew Hendrix, Cory, Kara and Kaylen Robinson, all of Woodland.

She was preceded in death by husband Alva Irby, sisters Joyce Adams and Jean Bridewell, brothers James R. Adams and James M. Adams.

Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 at McNary's Chapel. 458 College Street, Woodland.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, March 1, with Rev. Ralph Foster, at Monument Hill Memorial Park, Woodland.
