Pauls Valley - Evelyn Anne Idlett died February 8, 2023, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 61 years 6 months 16 days. Memorial Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Evelyn was born July 23, 1961, in Purcell, Oklahoma to Benjoe and Velma (Bonaham) Meigs. She was raised and attended school in Purcell. On July 29, 1981, she married Loyd Dean Idlett in Norman, Oklahoma. They made their home in Pauls Valley for the last 8 years. Evelyn worked a few jobs over the years mostly in retail sales. She was a loving and dedicated daughter, wife, mother and grandma. Evelyn enjoyed being a homemaker, going thrifting, native American crafting, and was very proud of her Choctaw Indian heritage. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and cherished every moment she got to spend with them.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her father, Benjoe Frank Meigs; her brother, Frank Meigs, Jr.; her mother and father-in-law, E.C Billy and Frona Idlett; her brothers-in-law, Don Idlett, Allen Idlett, Dennis Idlett; and her sister-in-law, Yuvonne Easter. Survivors include her mother, Velma Meigs of Harrah; her husband, Loyd Dean Idlett of Pauls Valley; her son, Justin Dean Idlett and wife, Kimberly of Purcell; her grandchildren, Lilea Idlett, Ashlynn Idlett, Kenna Idlett; her sisters, Alice Gregory and husband, Gene of Harrah, Caroline Woody of Purcell; her aunt, Merle Rains of Noble; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
