Candace Lou "Candy" Hutson

Candace Lou "Candy" Hutson
June 30, 1955 ~ July 31, 2025

Candace Lou Hutson was born June 30, 1955 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She departed this life July 31, 2025 at the age of seventy years.

Most all knew her as Candy; she grew up attending Bristow Public Schools. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bristow where she attended with her parents J.C. and Jackie Hutson. Candy was an accomplished musician playing the piano for Sunday services as well as the guitar and was a member of a band for a while.

Upon graduating, Candy attended Oklahoma State University for a short while and later, acting school in New York. Her most memorable role was that of Anne Frank in “The Diary of Anne Frank”. Returning home to Oklahoma, Candy found herself in Tulsa. She made a life for herself there working as an esthetician; she loved cosmetics and anything that made her feel beautiful and she wanted others to feel and see their beauty too. Candy loved fashion and lived fashion forward staying ahead of the trends.

She was a member of The First Baptist Church of Tulsa downtown where she often sang in the choir. She had a beautiful voice and used it whenever she could.

Though she never married or had any children she lived a full life filled with love, laughter and joy. She was fond of cats and cared for her many pets through the years as if they were her children.

Candy is survived by her many friends and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Jackie Hutson. No services are planned at this time.
