Clyde Allen Huffines

Clyde Allen Huffines
August 28, 1939 ~ March 14, 2026

Clyde Allen Huffines, age 86, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on August 28, 1939, in Mesa, Arizona, the youngest child of Robert and Sarah Huffines.

Clyde attended school through the eighth grade, at which time he took his first job as an oil field hand with Cimmaron Oil, working for Clayton Krotzer in order to help care for his parents after they both suffered debilitating strokes.

Shortly thereafter, he met and married Alice Faye Baker on April 12, 1963, in Hominy, Oklahoma. They made their home in Cleveland, Oklahoma, where they started their family and were blessed with two daughters, Karen Sue Huffines Cummings and Mary Anne Huffines Andrews.

Clyde continued to work hard in the oil field as a pumper well into his mid-seventies. When he wasn’t working, he loved spending time with his family and tending to his garden. He took great pride in his garden, growing squash, corn, cucumbers, tomatoes, watermelon, and cantaloupe.

Clyde was known for being a regular at the long breakfast table with his buddies at Hickory House. In his later years, when he was no longer able to garden, he enjoyed watching old westerns and game shows.

Clyde’s desire to provide for his family, along with his humor and caring nature, will be his lasting legacy.

Clyde is survived by his daughter, Mary Andrews, and son-in-law, Tony Andrews, of Euless, Texas; five granddaughters, LaJuanna Hall and April Cummings of Muldrow, Oklahoma, Sarah Weber of Cincinnati, Ohio, Hannah Noxon of Dallas, Texas, and Hailey Noxon of Euless, Texas; a brother-in-law, Tommy Baker of Enid, Oklahoma; Six great-grandchildren, Madison, Makenzie, Donnie Harrison, Avery and Nevaeh Cummings of Muldrow, Oklahoma. Brayden Strowick of Euless, Texas. One great-great-grandchild, Hudson Hill of Muldrow, Oklahoma. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sarah Huffines; his wife, Alice Huffines; his daughter, Karen Cummings; and all of his siblings.
