Tishomingo, OK-- Samuel McKinley Huff Jr. was born on Wednesday, October 5th, 1966 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma and passed from this life on Monday, August 18th, 2025 in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 58.
Samuel attended Tishomingo ISD graduating in 1985. While in school, he was heavily involved in FFA where he had 2 state champion show hogs. Samuel’s first job was at Armstrong’s, then the Tishomingo Feed Store which he loved and learned a lot. Samuel also did lawn work, gardening, and detailing cars…he took great pride in making cars shine.
Samuel spent most of his life working on farms as a child. He enjoyed playing the drums in his daddy’s church in Oklahoma City. Samuel was known for his Bar-B-Qing and a craftsman at smoking meat in the ground digging a pit.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Leona Huff; 2 brothers, Jim Carter and Bobby Barbars; and sister, E.J. Brown.
Those left to cherish his memories are his father, Rev. Samuel Huff Sr. and wife Ella; 2 brothers, Stanley (Jack) Jackson and wife Jean, and Nathan Huff; 6 sisters, Veronica Gardner, Beverly Jackson and husband Larry, Elona Huff, Wilma Wilson, Selene Huff (twin) and Shaquayon Huff; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and good friends.
