Mary Mildred (Couser) Horst

January 19, 1912 ~ January 15, 2005

Mary Mildred Couser Horst, 92, of Sanger, TX, a retired beautician, died Sunday, January 15, 2005, in Bedford, TX. She was born January 19, 1912, in Parvin, Texas, to Thomas Campbell (Tom) and Sally Ann (Rue) Couser.

On November 12, 1933, she married Julian Lawrence Horst, Sr., in Marietta, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1989.

Mildred graduated from Sanger High School in 1932. She attended the First United Methodist Church in Sanger.

A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 20, at First United Methodist Church. Jay Bruner and Jon M. Eckstein will officiate. Burial will be at Sanger Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, January 19, at Coker Funeral Home.

Survivors include two daughters, Sarah Lee Belz of Keene and Verdie Ann Leath of Fort Worth; two sons, Julian Lawrence "Larry" Horst, Jr. of Sanger and Tom Emil Horst of Fort Worth; one sister, Mareta Rinz of Dallas; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
