Robin Louella Ann (Phelps) Hixon

Robin Louella Ann (Phelps) Hixon
September 21, 1955 ~ December 22, 2020

Robin Louella Ann Phelps Hixon, 65, went home to be with the Lord on December 22, 2020. Born in York, Pennsylvania and raised in Marietta, GA by Cal Gordon and Rita Mae Phelps, she graduated from Wheeler High School in 1973. She moved to Oklahoma in 1982 and married Terry Hixon. She held various jobs with the Daily Oklahoman, Hartford Insurance and Transaction Data Systems after returning to work after raising her two children Savannah and Cole.

Robin had a true passion for horses, nutrition, and gardening. She spent her childhood raising and riding horses and as an adult she spent her free time with friends and family, gardening at all their houses, and serving as a personal dietician for anyone’s ailments. Robin was a wonderful mother and true friend who would do anything for those she loved. It was not unusual to hear of stories of her out at all hours of the night or morning running meals to those too busy to eat, giving rides to anyone with car trouble or picking things up at the store she knew others would enjoy.

Robin is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Stephen Phelps and her sister Danielle Young. Survived by her children, Cole Hixon and Savannah Tophoj, son-in-law Jon Tophoj, grandchildren, Kasen and Finn Tophoj, and brother-in-law Kevin Young. Robin is tremendously missed by her family and friends. A memorial service will be held on June 21, 2021 at the Myriad Gardens, East Lower Lake, at 12:30pm.
