Geneva Ruth (Greenwalt) Hix
March 17, 1927 ~ May 26, 2018

Geneva Ruth Hix entered this life on March 17, 1927 in Yuba, OK, born to Winnett and Veda (Finney) Greenwalt. Geneva went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 26, 2018 in Calera, OK at the age of 91 years 2 months and 9 days.

Geneva attended Middle and High School in Yuba, OK as well as Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, OK. She worked for Bryan County Co. Farm Bureau for many years. Geneva was also a loving, dedicated housewife and always ensured the home was well taken care of. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, playing dominoes and cards but most of all she loved spending time with family. Geneva will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Winnett and Veda Greenwalt, loving husband, Sidney and a brother and a sister.

Geneva is survived by her sons, Stanley Hix and wife April of Humble, TX, Tandy Hix and wife Dawn of Durant, OK; grandsons, Shannon Hix and wife Becky of Coalgate, OK, Austin Hix and wife Abbi of Durant, OK, Colby Hix and wife Hannah of Yarnaby, OK; step-granddaughter, Candice Trotter of Houston, TX; 4 great granddaughters and 2 great grandsons along with numerous other family, friends and loved ones.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at the Brown's Funeral Service Chapel in Durant, OK with Austin Hix officiating.
