Janice Gail Hitcher
October 21, 1949 ~ May 24, 2016

Janice Gail Hitcher, daughter of Tom Hitcher, Sr. and Hazel (Thompson) Hitcher, was born October 21, 1949 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on May 24, 2016 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 66 years, 7 months, and 3 days.

She had been a Licensed Nurse for 30 years; 19 of those years spent at the Cherokee Nation facility. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles, drives with Courtney, planting flowers and reading. She cherished her time with great nieces, Sydney and Zoe.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents; sisters; Freda Hitcher and Sue Springwater; also, one half-brother, E.J. Coffey.

She leaves to mourn her passing: One daughter, Courtney Hitcher of Stilwell; sisters: Linda Hitcher, also of Stilwell, and Cindy Green and husband, Anthony of Ft. Gibson, Ok. A brother, Tom Hitcher, Jr. of Stilwell, several nieces and nephews: Carly Hitcher, Leah Hitcher, Crystal Eubanks, Wendy Bean, Michael Springwater, Josh Hitcher, Jeffery Hitcher, Wade Kester, Jacob Kester, several other relatives and many friends.

Private family services are being held. Services were entrusted to Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
