Judith Ann (Grant) Hindman

Judith Ann (Grant) Hindman
June 26, 1940 ~ January 4, 2023

Judith Ann (Grant) Hindman, 82, of Oglesby, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. Judy was born to Harry and Lucille (Earley) Grant on June 26, 1940 in rural Nowata, Oklahoma. She graduated from Nowata High School in 1958.

Judy married Tom Hindman on June 8, 1958 beginning their journey together. She was wonderful in all of her roles as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, relative, friend and neighbor. Judy loved everyone. In addition to being an exceptional homemaker, Judy was especially skilled in sewing, needlework and cooking. She liked gardening, canning and making jellies with her Mother many other activities until she was unable to do so. Judy took great care of others and put their needs before her own. There simply is not enough space on this page to reflect on every beautiful memory of the 82 years of her life.

Judy followed Tom and supported him in all of his adventures. They especially enjoyed their years ranching and when they built a cabin in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Although she was not able to go along with him many times, she traveled in spirit. In spirit, she went on his many hunting trips and no one can forget the covered wagon trip across Oklahoma to Colorado. Judy especially enjoyed a long trip with Tom and Pam as they traveled through many states. In her final months, Tom was hand-in-hand and side-by-side with Judy on her journey to Heaven.

Her relationship with God was of the utmost importance to Judy. She especially enjoyed the years she was able to lead the women’s ministries at Tuxedo Assembly of God. Where she was also known to teach Sunday school and Missionettes, helped with vacation Bible school, supported the Hillcrest Children’s Home, raised funds for BGMC and helped to meet other needs. She later attended Oglesby Assembly of God. Although she became unable to attend church, she continued to pray, read the Word and faithfully practice Christian living on a daily basis.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Pam Hindman. She is survived by her husband, Tom; daughters: Dana Carter (husband Bruce), Debbie Hindman-Beaty and Denise McKinney; grandchildren: Jesse Gilliland (great-granddaughter Kaitlyn and great, great-grandchild Aurora), Grant Beaty (great-grandchildren Ryder and MJ), Brent Beaty, Kassina Pickering (husband Nathan, great-grandchildren Nolan and Harper); sister: Linda Henegar (husband Gerald); and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Judy’s memory to: Jimmy Swaggart Ministries ~ jsm.org.
