Connie Hill

Connie Hill
April 23, 1956 ~ July 3, 2025

Connie Hill, 69, of Chouteau, Oklahoma, passed away on July 3, 2025 at her home. She was born on April 23, 1956, in Streator, Illinois, to James and Pearl Hill.

Connie was a dedicated teacher, devoted wife, loving mother, loyal sister, and tireless volunteer who poured her heart into everything she did.

She married David Kriebel on August 9, 1986, in Antioch, Illinois, and together they built a life anchored in love and kindness.

Connie made Chouteau her home for 30 years, teaching elementary students at Chouteau Public Schools and inspiring countless young minds along the way. She was an active member of Friends of the Library and the Books and Brews Book Club, always sharing her passion for reading and community.

Her love was her superpower—steadfast through every trial and triumph, challenge and celebration. Even as she fought cancer with the spirit of a shield maiden and the faith of a devoted prayer warrior, she remained the sweetest soul you could ever know. She also had a heart for animals, spending years volunteering with rescue dogs and sharing her home with many she saved. Connie’s legacy is one of love, faith, compassion, and service—a life that touched so many and will be cherished always.

Connie is survived by her husband, David Kriebel of the home; daughter, Kelsey Kriebel of Lowell, Arkansas; brother, Dave Hill and wife Wanda of Colorado; sister, Gwen Barnum and husband Lance of Arizona; and her beloved rescue pets Ludo, Dante, Big, Sloopy, Harley, Rudolph, and her cat, Pepper. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Pearl Hill.

A memorial service for Connie will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 20, 2025, at the Chouteau United Methodist Church. To leave her family a message, please visit her Tribute Wall at www.shipmansfuneralhome.com. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shipman’s Funeral & Cremation Service.
