Wayne Heustis

Wayne Heustis
April 25, 1944 ~ November 11, 2019

On November 11, 2019 Wayne Heustis went fishing.

He was the son of Clem Clayton and Ethel Marie (O’Neal) Heustis. Wayne was born on April 25, 1944 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and passed away on Monday, November 11, 2019 at his home in Sherwood, Arkansas. He was 75.

He attended Westville Schools, served in the U.S. Army and became a barber. He enjoyed his work, meeting new people and telling tall tales. He was always at his happiest when surrounded by a group of people.

Wayne lived life fully. He married Patti on December 15, 1971. He loved his wife dearly, they were blessed with over 47 years together. Wayne was very proud of his children and his grandchildren were so precious to him, the light of his life.

He enjoyed being outdoors and fishing. He had so many stories to tell about the big ones, little ones and the one that got away. Wayne was also an avid gardener and bee keeper.

He was a member of the Lions Club, American Legion and VFW and attended Bayou Meto Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clem and Ethel Heustis and 13 siblings.

Wayne is survived by his wife Patti Heustis, children Bobby Heustis, wife Susan, Heidi Hightower, and husband Melvin, Justin Heustis and wife Kiley, Sarah Heustis,
