Yoshiko S Hernandez was born April 11, 1927 in Tokyo, Japan to Tsukiyo and Heigoro Satsuma. She died peacefully at her home with her family at her side on February 7, 2014 in Lawton, Oklahoma, at the age of 86.

She was raised and attended local schools in Tokyo, Japan. She met Raul Hernandez in Lawton in 1972 and they were married. He died in 1993. She enjoyed being an army wife until her husband's retirement. They made Lawton their home. She enjoyed watching black and white Japanese movies that were traded with close friend. She was preceded in death by husband, Raul C Hernandez; brother, Michio Satuma.

She is survived by her one son, Bill Hanson and his wife Helen, of Dothan, AL; two daughters, Irene Lanning, of Lawton, and Jo Ann Kyle, of Athens, AL; six grandchildren: Christopher Hanson and his wife Kimberly, of Brentwood, TN, Sara Henderson and her husband Josh, of Dallas, TX, Angela Hanson, of Huntsville, AL, Jennifer McBay and her husband Mark, of Athens, AL, and Carrie Carter and her husband Braddley, of Athens, AL; one sister, Kimiko Takada, of Tokyo, Japan. She also has many loving family members, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service 6210 NW Cache Road Lawton Oklahoma 73505

10:00 am on Monday, February 10, 2014 at Whinery-Huddleston Chapel 6210 NW Cache Road Lawton Oklahoma 73505
