Raymond Virgil "Skip" Henneha, Jr.

Raymond Virgil "Skip" Henneha, Jr.
November 7, 1948 ~ March 16, 2024

Raymond Virgil "Skip" Henneha was born in Torrance, California on November 7, 1948, to the late Raymond Virgil Henneha, Sr. and Jean (Camp) Henneha of Bristow, Oklahoma. He passed from this life March 16, 2024, in Stillwater, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years, 4 months, and 9 days. He attended Bristow Grade School and later moved to Enid, where he attended Emerson Junior High. Raymond excelled at everything athletic - baseball, track and especially football. At fullback, Enid's 1964, 1965, and 1966 State Championship teams earned him the title of All State Fullback. He carried his success to The Golden Norsemen of NEO as fullback on their 1968 National Junior College Championship Team. He never played on a losing football team. Skip didn't know the meaning of the word "quit" and several other words.

Skip enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1969 and served until 1973. During his time in the Marines, he served in the Air Wing at Iwakuni, Japan and attained the rank of Sergeant. Skip enjoyed flying and later skydiving. While living in Enid he bowled a 299 game and received a heck of an engraved diamond ring. He worked for Groendyke in Enid and for Conoco in Houston before coming to Armstrong in Stillwater and opening the Harbor Bar later on. Skip enjoyed hunting and fishing, even though he hated eating fish (and cauliflower). He loved hot and spicy foods, rare steaks, coffee cookies and an occasional beverage. His sense of humor was his trademark. Such as wit, wisdom, and some of the weirdest toys like fake time bombs, whoopee cushions, foot stools with feet and shoes, etc. He was an encyclopedia of jokes, but even better at ad libs. He would say "I like all kinds of music... country AND western" but was all in with rock. He even had his own band in high school and was a devoted Parrot Head. He joined the local Moose Herd and was in attendance whenever they were open. He and Karen were sidekicks, second family (maybe first) with fellow Meese and Moose. The Moose Lodge was their social gravity center.

Skip was married to Bonnie Bingham and Susan Hampton before finding the love of his life Karen Aust, with whom he spent the last 24 years until his passing. They loved and supported each other through shared hardships and joys.

He is survived by his Wife Karen of their Stillwater home, Sons: Jackie Ray Henneha, wife Kim & family of Stillwater - James Henneha of Missouri; Daughter: Julie Madl, husband Ken & family of Missouri; Stepdaughter: Sheila Hulsman & Husband Hans of Broken Arrow; Sister: Kay Wisehart & husband John of Stillwater; Nephews: Jacob and John Christian Wisehart; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and The Black Cat Jasmine of the home. He will be greatly missed by all.
