Peggy Lee (Fronk) Hayter

Peggy Lee (Fronk) Hayter
September 19, 1947 ~ December 11, 2017

Peggy Lee Hayter of Ponca City passed away peacefully surrounded by all four of her beautiful daughters and two of her grandchildren Monday December 11, 2017.

She was born in Seattle, WA, and graduated from high school in Bakersfield, CA.

Peggy spent some time traveling the world with her daughter and parents, living in such places as Australia and Iran.

She moved back to the USA and married Stan Hayter in Anthony, KS, August 16,1975. Together, they had three more daughters and many life adventures.

They had a hand in farming, hairdressing, landlording, commercial flying, and nursing. Peggy was also an extraordinary quilter, seamstress, and crafter.

Peggy was a nurturer at heart and took great pride in her career as a registered nurse. She cared for people at St. Mary's Hospital and as Dr. Tom Snyder's (her favorite doctor) office nurse in Enid. She immensely enjoyed the love of her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Carmelita Fronk; her husband, Stan Hayter; and her granddaughter, Emily Hayter.

Peggy will be missed by her four daughters, Wendy Burg and husband Tom, Nicole Bartell and husband Dan, Jana Sturgell and husband Luke, and Ashley Moore; as well as her eight grandchildren, one great-grandson, her sister Penny Dickey and family, and her sweet dachshund Lulu.

The family invites all who knew and loved Peggy to celebrate her life with them 3 p.m. Thursday, December 14, 2017, at Prairie Rose Funeral Home 602 E. Main St. in Anthony, KS.
