Amy Louise Hays, 55, of Ponca City, OK, died on January 20, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, January 26, 2022, Trout Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Kitchell officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74604.

Amy was born on September 17, 1966, in Hays, KS, to Edmond Pfannenstiel and Mary Ann (Burgardt) Gebert. She attended Prescott High School, graduating in 1985, then attended Yavapai College, Northern Oklahoma College, and Fort Hays State University. She worked in life insurance as an administrative assistant. Her passions included giving back to others, traveling and reading. Amy made a positive impression on everyone she met and could light up any room she was in. Amy was a giving, pay-it-forward kind of person. She enjoyed paying for strangers meals, especially those in law enforcement and veterans. At Christmas, Amy and her husband would sponsor a family in need and make sure they had food, necessities and gifts.

Amy was also a very loving Mimi to her two grandchildren, Noen and Ashlynn. Her grand babies were the loves of her life. She was called Mimi by her two nephews, Dallas and Kalebb, whom she loved very much, as well. Amy was a dedicated OSU football fan and loved to go fishing.

Amy is survived by her husband, Wayne Hays, of Ponca City, OK; daughter, Liz Diamanti of Beaumont, CA; son, Andrew Elliott of Ponca City, OK; grandson, Noen; mother, Mary Ann Gebert of Hays, KS; sister, Clarice Hanes of Chino Valley, AZ; brothers, Les Pfannenstiel and Loel Pfannenstiel, of Wichita, KS and numerous cousins, family members and friends.

Amy was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ashlynn Diamanti and aunt, Sondra Hays.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to NERA, 112 S. 1st Street, Ponca City, OK, 74601, or donate at www.neraok.org.
