Ernest Wayne Hatcher, previously of Bokchito, passed away on August 31, 2025 in Fresno, California, at the age of 85. He was born on October 4, 1939 to Owen Walker and Mitty May Hatcher. On January 20, 1967, he married Geretta Sue Wallace in Durant, Oklahoma.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Geretta, his son Owen, grandchildren including his granddaughters Shannon, Samantha, Rachel, Judith, and adopted granddaughters Dezarae and Lilyanna, grandsons Devin, Dexter, Alfaro, and adopted grandsons, Julian, Nicholas, Zayden, and Jack. Ernest is also survived by his brother Owen, sister-in-law Ester, nephew Bobby, nieces Teri and Anna, and great-niece Emerson.
Preceding him in death are his parents Owen and Mitty Hatcher, and his siblings Olen, Mutt, Arvil, Alvin, David, Samantha, and Lela.
His family will receive friends in the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Chapel from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025, prior to his Celebration of Life service beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Christopher Roberts officiating. Tinker Airforce Base Honor Guard will present military honors.
