Martha Lou Harrison

May 13, 1938 ~ May 23, 2005

Martha Lou Harrison, 67, passed away Monday, May 23, 2005 at a care center after a lengthy illness and is now with the Lord.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Arlington Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Tomlin Cemetery in Arlington. Visitation: Family will receive friends and loved ones 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Arlington Funeral Home.

Martha Lou was born May 13, 1938 in Fort Worth and lived in Arlington until March 17, 1975. She then resided with her sister, Mary I. Hamlin in Chickasha until June, 1997, when she moved to Grace Care Center after her health began to fail. She loved to talk with and make the clients there laugh. She loved snacks, sweets and in her words, "a good cup of coffee."

Martha Lou was the descendant of pioneer Arlington families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Leslie and Pearl Tomlin Harrison; two brothers, Tomlin and William Joseph "Joe" Harrison and two nieces, Iva L. Hamlin and Vicki Harrison Tolliver.

Those remembering and mourning her are her sister, Mary I. Harrison Hamlin of Chickasha, Okla.; brothers, Herbert W. "Herb" and James T. Harrison and wife, Mildred of Arlington; many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends join to mourn her loss.

Services are under direction of Arlington Funeral Home, 1221 E. Division St., (817) 548-1791.
