Ross Ezra Harris
February 25, 1939 ~ June 9, 2026

Ross Ezra Harris, 87-year-old Cleora resident, passed away early Tuesday, June 9, 2026, in Tulsa. He was born on February 25, 1939, in Harrison, Arkansas to Thurman T. and Ellen Vina (Devore) Harris. Ross was a graduate of Harrison High School and was Valedictorian of his class.

He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Ross went to work for Southern Rail Road as a welder and retired from there. He married Wilma C. "Willie" (McClain) on June 22, 2012. They made their home in the Cleora area. He loved to go fishing, be outdoors, living the simple life around the lake. Ross enjoyed making furniture, woodworking, driving the countryside and being around his family. Ross also loved reading the bible and went to church many years at the Cleora Baptist Church.

The family includes his loving wife Willie of the home, daughter, Kellye Ritchie and husband Mark of Cleora; granddaughter, Rachel Ritchie and fiancee` Bryan Sullivan, and a sister, Wanda Teague of Harrison, Arkansas.

He was preceded by his parents, Thurman and Ellen Harris; sisters, Mary Lou Benton and Barbara Rutter.

Private services will be held by the family. Online condolences may be made at www.highsmithfh.com or on the funeral home Facebook page. Arrangements are in the care of the Burckhalter-Highsmith Funeral and Cremation Services of Vinita. "Vinita's only locally family owned and operated funeral home."
