Elaine (Lynn) Harper
March 31, 1935 ~ March 13, 2025

Elaine, as she was known by many, was born in Mena, Arkansas on March 31, 1935 to the late John Lynn & Elsie (Russell) Lynn. She passed from this life peacefully on March 13, 2025 at the age of 89 years, 11 months, & 13 days.

Elaine was raised & educated in Arkansas. She was living in Houston, Texas when she married Marvin Rainwater & in 1975 they moved to Drumright. They remained together until Marvin’s death in 2009.

In 2011 she met Charles Harper and they were united in marriage in 2012. For the past few years, her and Charles had been residents of the Drumright Nursing Home.

Elaine had been a pianist all of her life and gave lessons also. She could play all types of music but had a special talent for playing country & gospel. She has played for countless weddings, funerals, special events, and also many organizations, groups, and bands. She was still playing the piano at the nursing home just a few weeks before she died. Besides playing the piano, she drove the brus for the Drumright Senior Citizens Group for many years, was a member of the National Blue Bird Society, and enjoyed dancing.

In addition to her parents & first husband, she was preceded in death by a Daughter: Cathy Helms; 2 Brothers: Jesse Lynn & Carrol Lynn; & on December 17, 2024, her beloved Husband: Charles Harper.

She leaves behind a Daughter: Susan Wilson of Drumright; a Son: Andy Rouse of Drumright; a Son-In-Law: George Helms of Texas; Stepchildren: Tammy & Gary Hutcheson of Florida – Tony & Dayna Harper of Drumright; Grandchildren: Brian & Chanda – Billy & Debbie – Jeff & Christina – Patty – Holly & Michael – Paul & Hanna- Dalton – & also Trent; Numerous Great & Great Great Grandchildren; plus several Nieces – Nephews – Cousins - & other relatives.
