Jerry Wayne Hanks

June 28, 1940 ~ August 6, 1991

Services for Jerry Wayne Hanks, 51, were at 2 p.m. Thursday in the First Baptist Church of Electra, Texas. Officiating was Dr. Eddie Chennault, pastor of the Temple Baptist Church, Gainesville, Texas.

Born June 28, 1940, in Electra, Mr. Hanks died August 6, 1991, in the Gainesville Memorial Hospital. He was the son of Elmo and Marcelle Corn Hanks.

Mr. Hanks married the former Linda Fletcher on October 14, 1990. He was an employee of Weber Aircraft, Gainesville, and a member of the Temple Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Linda Hanks of Marietta; a son, David Wayne Hanks of Electra; two daughters, Trecie Bergt and Carrie Roper of Vernon, Texas; his father, Elmo Hanks of Electra; a sister, Doris Stephens of Electra; and two stepsons, Gary Charles Holcomb and Michael Brent Holcomb.

Services were under the direction of Vernie Keel Funeral Home, Gainesville, and Totten Day Funeral Home, Electra. Burial was in Electra Memorial Cemetery, Electra.
