Star Ryanne Hamshar, 23, of Claremore, Oklahoma, passed away on July 2, 2025, in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was born on March 30, 2002 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Ryan James and Sarah Cloud (Lawrence) Hamshar.
She was a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece and friend.
Star was a proud Cherokee Native of Claremore, Oklahoma. She graduated from Claremore High School in 2021, where she played the alto saxophone in the middle and high school band. And was known to practice with the Rogers State University Band in middle school as privilege by the music professor.
Star was tiny and passionate with a tender heart and was spirited and creative with an unforgettable smile. She had a desire to help everyone before herself.
She was a gifted musician and shared the love of the arts with her Momma and a love for old rock with her dad.
She loved butterflies, sloths, anime, archeology, genealogy, science, nature and often said, “I love my Grandma Mary more than anything in this world” to anyone who knew her.
Star is survived by her mother, Sarah (Lawrence) Hamshar; father, Ryan Hamshar and wife, Renae; sister, Jaycie; and brother, Huxley of Claremore; Grandparents, Bob and Mary Lawrence of Claremore, Ronnie and Debbie Morris of Claremore, Jack and Trish Hamshar of Tahlequah.
Star left behind many uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and even strangers
who cared. We all will miss her greatly.
Fly high sweet Star. Forever 23.
