Jimmie Nell Hamrick

Oct. 28, 1929 ~ Nov. 24, 2002

Jimmie Nell Nichols Hamrick, 73, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Jimmie's smile and wit would brighten anyone's day. Her family will long remember the beauty and grace with which she lived and the courage and dignity she carried to the very end. She took part of our hearts and left us with treasured memories.

Jimmie was born Oct. 28, 1929, in Duncan. She graduated from Duncan schools receiving an award for 12 years of perfect attendance. She attended Daniel Baker College in Brownwood, Texas. While in college she met Jerry Hamrick and they married Dec. 2, 1947.

Mrs. Hamrick was a member of First Baptist Church in Duncan.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry, of Duncan; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Ricky Moss of Keller, Texas; a grandson, Clint Moss of Keller; a brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Sylvia Nichols of Norman; three nieces, Tambra Rhodes of London, England, Holly Nichols of Portland, Ore., and Linda Shimizu of Chicago, Ill.; and two nephews, Todd Nichols of Columbus, Ohio, and Stan Nichols of Portland.

She was preceded in death by her son, Phil Hamrick; her brother, Donald Nichols; and her parents, Gordon and Vera Nichols.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in Duncan or Vitas Hospice Charitable Fund, 2501 Parkview Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76102, in loving memory of Jimmie Nell Hamrick.
