John Elmo Hamilton

November 28, 1953 ~ October 22, 2018

John Elmo Hamilton passed away at his home in Gerty, Oklahoma on Monday, October 22, 2018, at the age of 64 years.

John was the son of Elmo and Billie (Henry) Hamilton, born on November 28, 1953, in Denver, Colorado. He was brought up in Great Falls, Montana and also in Missoula, Montana and was a graduate of Missoula High School. He worked in construction, and enjoyed his job building large structures. He married Jennifer Nix in Arkansas on May 24, 1994, and for the past 24 years they have enjoyed working together in construction and remodeling.

John was very creative and capable, and was able to fix anything. He was an artist, and loved to paint and draw. He loved playing dominoes and particularly enjoyed just sitting around and visiting in the company of family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmo and Billie Hamilton.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer of the home; two daughters, Lindsey and Brandi, both of Montana, and a stepdaughter he loved as his own, Sarah Grant of Anchorage Alaska; two grandsons, Tristan and Riley; three sisters: Patty, Lori, and Judy; his dear friend and domino playing partner, Willie Woodall; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday,. November 10, 2018,, at the Gerty Community Building. www.fisherfh.net.
