Carolyn Joyce (Meredith) Hallmark

September 2, 1934 ~ July 3, 2024

Carolyn Joyce Hallmark, 89, passed away July 3, 2024, in Warr Acres, Oklahoma. She was born September 2, 1934, in Memphis, Texas to Thomas and Audrey (Hunt) Meredith. She grew up in Amarillo, Texas and Overbrook, Oklahoma. She graduated from Greenville High School in 1953.

Carolyn enjoyed a career in banking and retired as Vice President of Lincoln Bank in Ardmore after 23 years of service. She was an active member of Southwest Baptist Church and later, Marsden Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher. She was very artistic and enjoyed painting, music and working crossword puzzles.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Estle Hallmark; stepson, Scotty Hallmark; brother, Tommy Meredith; and sisters, Myrna Sue Burch and Louise Evans.

She is survived by her daughter, Norma (Jeanne) Samuel; stepson, Kent (Pam) Hallmark; son, Joey (Lisa) Willingham; half-brother, Tom (Sandy) Smith of Tacoma, Washington; grandchildren, Tom (Karissa) Heron, Anna (Justin) Beaver, and Kara Beckner; and great-grandchildren, Michael Heron, Meredith Heron, Olivia Heron, MacKenna Beaver, Katelynn Beaver, Will Beaver, and Jack F. Beckner.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 20 at 2 p.m. at Mercer-Adams Chapel in Bethany.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke's Methodist Meals on Wheels, 222 NW 15th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73103 or New Covenant Christian Church Mobile Meals, 12000 N. Rockwell Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73162.
