Lavera Glee (Schneider) Haller
November 9, 1939 ~ June 3, 2021

Lavera Haller, 81 year old Woodward resident, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021 at her home in Woodward surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday June 9, 2021 at the Faith United Methodist Church with Reverend Scott Ware officiating. A private family burial will be held.

Lavera Glee (Schneider) Haller was born on November 9, 1939 in Tangier, Oklahoma to Samuel and Thelma (Sheets) Schneider. The family moved to Woodward when she was two years of age. In 1947 the family's home was destroyed by the Woodward Tornado. As a result of the tornado, they lost her older brother Leon who was 14 at the time. Lavera attended the Woodward Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1959.

She met the love of her life Robert Lee Roy Haller, Sr when she was 16 while playing the game ditch-em. They have been married 63 years and to this union four children were born: Peggy, Linda, Janet, and Robert Jr. They made their home in Woodward and have lived here since that time. Lavera worked for Ideal Grocery, The Fruit of the Loom Factory, and Jiffy Cleaners and did alterations for all of Woodward and the surrounding communities. Her boys (the local police officers) were very dear to her.

Lavera was a long time faithful member of the Faith United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School, Bible School and attended many Bible studies. She played the organ, the piano and was involved in the choir for 75 years. Her church family was very important to her. She loved spending as much time as she could with her family.

She is survived by her husband Robert Haller, Sr. of the home; four children: Peggy Loomis and husband Darwin, Linda Huff and husband Roger, Janet Crawford and husband Don, Robert Haller, Jr and wife Sandy; eleven grandchildren: Megan and Palmer Smith, Matthew and Rose Ann Loomis, Christy and Eric Buckmaster, RJ and Jill Huff, Jesse Huff, Chadwick and Meredith Crawford, Donald Leon Crawford, III, Jesse and James Strickler, Karen and Jesse Highfill, Katie and Edwin Jimenez, Robert, III and Cherie Haller; great-grandchildren: Raywin, Baron, and Hendrix Smith, Hudson Loomis, Gracelynn and Gentry Buckmaster, Adalynn Huff, Campbell and Leonie Crawford, Cassidy and Emily Crawford, Hank Strickler, Jacoby, Dillon, Dawson, and Kameron Highfill, Adryan, Carly, Avery, and Emily Jimenez, Andie and Alex Haller; sister, Gloria Fothergill of Woodward; one brother, Dutch Schneider and wife Ann of Del City; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Thelma Schneider, brother, Leon Schneider, granddaughters, Kendall Highfill, Kenleigh Loomis, grandparents, Cary and Delia Sheets and George and Anna Schneider.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Faith United Methodist Church with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
