Joella "Jo" (Niswonger) Hale
May 18, 1928 ~ May 27, 2016

Joella "Jo" Hale passed away Friday, May 27, 2016. The family requests private family services. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.

Joella Faye Hale was born May 18, 1928 in Oklahoma City, OK to Forrest and Birdie (McCollum) Niswonger. She married Donald E. Hale on December 11, 1948 in Bartlesville.

Jo was a kind, gentle, loving and nurturing wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an avid reader and homemaker. Jo helped start the Ladies' Auxiliary volunteer program at Sale Hospital in Neosho, MO and upon moving to Bartlesville volunteered at Jane Phillips Medical Center where she was always ready and willing to help others.

Jo is survived by her husband, Don Hale, two sons; Steve Hale and wife Leslie of Bartlesville, Scott Hale and wife Barbara of Dallas, TX, daughter, Cindy Still and husband Steve of Ft. Worth, TX. Jo was blessed with eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Jo was preceded in death by her parents.
