Memorial services for Matthew Dewayne Gunsolus, 47, of Ardmore will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 5 at the Gene Autry First Baptist Church with David Colaw officiating.
Born January 11, 1974 at Ardmore, the son of David and Rebecca Ann Cole Gunsolus, he died Thursday, February 25, 2021 in Mercy Hospital Ardmore.
Matthew was raised in Love County and graduated from Turner High School where he played baseball. He was very proud of being a part of the 1989 state championship team under the coaching of John Cartwright. He attended college before going to work at a Dialysis Clinic in Ardmore. He later transferred to a clinic in Tulsa and in 2008 moved back to Ardmore. Matthew loved his family, watching OU football, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He enjoyed crafting, baseball, and photography.
Survivors include his parents, David and Rebecca Ann Gunsolus and Chelsi of Ardmore; children, Ailey Self and husband Levisty of Burneyville and Mattison Gunsolus of Tulsa; grandchildren, Rhyder Self and Rheyen Self of Burneyville; sister, Stephani Perryman of Lone Grove; and aunts and uncles, Carlos Cole of Kingston, Deanna Hale and Larry of Ardmore, Jack and Carol Pruitt of Kingston, and Curtis and Sherry Cole of Ardmore.
