Gilbert Lee Groom

Gilbert Lee Groom
December 18, 1941 ~ April 17, 2025

Gilbert "Gib" Groom was born in Chandler, Oklahoma to Floyd Franklin Groom and Thelma Carmen (Burris) Groom. He passed away April 17, 2025 at the age of 83. He was in the United States Air Force, Army division and served in Vietnam. As well, he worked as a carrier for the United States Postal Service.

Gilbert "Gib" was survived by his wife, Soonja Groom of Bristow; two daughters, Sonmi Groom Gervase and husband Don, and Jann Groom Kisseberth and husband Mark; three brothers, Frank Groom of Bristow, William Earl Groom of Idaho and Joe Lynn Groom of South Dakota.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Murel Dean Rains and a brother, Jimmy Don Groom.
