Daniel passed away due to complications of pulmonary fibrosis. He was surrounded by people who love him. He was born at home to Albert and Anna Gottsch. They had five children, Harold, Daniel, Darrell, Eddyth Ann and Alan.

He was proceeded in death by his father, mother, sister, and brothers, Alan and Darrell.

He had an amazing life, which included his daughters Jeri Sheik and Rhonda Smith.

Best of all were his grandchildren, Anna and her husband Jared Swart, Dylan and Lauren his wife and Gerit and his wife Terrisa who is having a baby in March.

The bonus was the great-grandchildren, Slyder, Braya and Presley.

He was blessed with his wife Fran and her family, Donna and her husband Jay and Lori who is married to Dennis, who are amazing.

The bonus gifts are the step-grandchildren, Katie and Megan, who he was crazy about.

His many accomplishments included getting his master's degree in the 1960s and his docorate degree at OSU. He had many certifications such as auctioneering, cattle artificial insemination, and EMT. He worked with mentally disabled persons.

Later, he taught at NOC and then NWOSU, while farming on the family farm. He touched so many and will be missed by all.
