Nolen W. "Dub" Gossett
October 20, 1940 ~ February 2, 2021

 Shawnee - Nolen W. "Dub" Gossett was born October 20, 1940 in Saline County, AR to Nolen W. and Alice Mae Gossett. He was at home with his wife, PJ, and other family members in Shawnee, OK when he was welcomed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, February 2, 2021.

Dub was a successful entrepreneur, owning several businesses throughout his life. He opened Holiday Swimming Pools in Shawnee, OK in 1974 and faithfully served his many loyal customers for over 45 years. His passions were fishing, karaoke, and Elvis Presley. He was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church for 28 years, ever since he accepted God's precious gift of saving grace.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife of 31 years, PJ Gossett. He also leaves behind daughter Deanna Gossett of Little Rock, AR, sons Nolen Gossett III and wife Natalia of Sherwood, AR, Allen Gossett and wife RaeAnn of Shawnee, and Darren Gossett and wife Rhonda of Edmond, and stepchildren Jason Franklin and wife Melissa of Seattle, WA and Karla Tuttle and husband Ronnie of New Caney, Texas. Dub was blessed with his grandchildren Ricky Gossett, Christian and Ronnie Gifford, Nolen Gossett IV, Corey and Heather Gossett, Tanner Rush and wife Callie, Chase Gossett and wife Tariah and their son Alex, Gage Gossett, Zackary Gossett, Everett Tuttle and wife Paxton, Ian and Viviane Tuttle, and Oliver Finn Franklin. One of eight children, Dub is survived by his brothers Bill Gossett and wife Aurora of Bates, AR, Charles "Mac" Gossett and wife Helen of Walla Walla, WA, sisters Oneida Pearce and husband Ken of Conway, AR, Gerri Morgan and husband Bob of Bates, AR, Lu Fite and husband Dwight of Benton, AR, and sister-in-law Joan Gossett of Alabama. Dub came from a large family and inherited another when he married PJ on November 4, 1989. He was beloved by his mother- and father-in-law Freddie and Betty Haynes and his sisters- and brothers-in-law, Rhonda Jones and husband Mark, Teresa (TC) Winders and husband Ken, and Kimberly Bauer and husband Tracy. He was also loved by his numerous nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and friends. Dub was preceded in death by his parents and brothers John F. Taylor and James "Jim" Gossett.

Due to the current pandemic and in consideration of the safety of Dub's family and friends, a celebration of his life is postponed until a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his honor to his favorite charity, the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
