Robert “Bob” Norman Goss Jr., age 85, recent resident of Medford, Oklahoma, went to be with his Lord on April 29, 2025. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 7, 1939, to Robert Norman Goss Sr. and Dorothy J. Langfitt Goss. Bob was a native of Glenshaw, Pennsylvania and graduated from Shaler High School. Bob graduated from Slippery Rock University in 1961.
Bob first taught school, coaching both football and baseball, for six years in Freeport, Pennsylvania. In 1967 he began a long career in sales and marketing. Bob lived in Rogers, Arkansas, working for Daisy Manufacturing Company. In 1983 he moved to Winfield, Kansas to work for Gott Corporation/ Rubbermaid. After moving to Wooster, Ohio with Rubbermaid, he retired as International Sales V.P. in 1995. In 1999 he joined Blitz Corporation in Miami, Oklahoma for seven years, retiring again on Grand Lake, Grove, Oklahoma. Bob spent his last seven years near family in Pennsylvania. Bob’s many interests included hunting, golfing, boating, and he prided himself as a chef who entertained his family and friends for 55 years. He attended Methodist Churches with his family. Bob was always an active member in all local golf clubs wherever he lived. He was a lifetime member of the N.R.A.
Bob is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara A. McNally Goss; his children, Todd Robert Goss of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Suzanne Goss of Medford, Oklahoma; grandson, Kyle C. Goss-Hatcher and wife, Faith, and great grandson, Channing of Yukon, Oklahoma; his brother, Douglas L. Goss and wife, Lyn of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Dennis A. McNally of Girard, Pennsylvania, and numerous nephews, nieces and their children.
Bob made long and endearing friendships during his career in the many places where he lived. Among these are John and Marilyn Wright, Tulio and Maria Figueroa, Butch and Lynda Moser, Meza Harris, Pat Harris, Bill and Georgianna Young, and so many more.
Bob was cremated and will be buried in Highland Cemetery in Winfield, Kansas. There will be gatherings/memorial services at later dates in Winfield, Kansas and Rogers, Arkansas.
