Gloria A. (Lovelace) Gordon

August 13, 1951 ~ December 30, 2017

Gloria A. Gordon entered the kingdom of heaven on Saturday, December 30, 2017. She was 66 years old. She was born in Guthrie on August 13, 1951. Gloria had two brothers and one sister. She graduated from Guthrie High School. Gloria went on to further her education at Langston University where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in business. In 1974, she accepted a position with Conoco Phillips and moved to Ponca City. It was in Ponca City that she met and married the love of her life, Ronald Gordon. Together they loved and raised five children. She was very active in the church and enjoyed volunteering her time to work on the church's bookkeeping. 

Gloria is survived by her husband, Ronald of the home, Three daughters, Veronica Gordon on New York, Vivian Gordon Amos of Baltimore, and Margaret Gordon King of Ponca City, two sons Antawn Gordon of Georgia, and Ronald Gordon, Jr. of Edmond, seven grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a host of cousins and nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Bill and Ralph Lovelace, and one sister Marion Lovelace. 

Gloria was a devoted mother and wife. She knew Jesus. She will be missed. 

A funeral service will be held for Gloria on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. The service will take place at Grace Memorial Chapel located on 2016 N. 14th street, Ponca City. Pastor Don Echols will officiate. 

Gloria will be in state for visitation at Grace Memorial Chapel on Thursday (1/4/18) and Friday (1/5/18) from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., Saturday (1/6/18) from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday (1/7/18) after church from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m.
