David Leonard Gordon

David Leonard Gordon
Nov. 11, 1947 ~ Nov. 4, 2016

David Leonard Gordon was born Nov. 11, 1947, in Enid to Granville and Thyra "Sparky" Gordon, and moved forward Nov. 4, 2016, to his Heavenly Life with his savior Jesus Christ. "Dave" passed peacefully at his home in Tulsa, with his wife Cheri and stepdaughter by his side.

Dave attended Enid public schools and graduated from Enid High School in 1965. He graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1970. He was a member of OSU Alumni, Sigma Chi fraternity, Oklahoma "Z" Car Club, a Mentor to Second Chances for Men, an organization to help men who have lost their jobs get back into the work force. He worked for Pennicale Limited as Chief Marketing Director and Pepsi Cola marketing entertainment events.

Dave had a love for fast, beautiful automobiles and applied most of his life driving his favored "Z." He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing endless rounds with his close friends. Dave was a friend of all and had a zest for life that always brought such a presence when he met someone he made them laugh and feel as if he had known them forever. Dave battled cancer for over a year but maintained a positive attitude throughout.

He will be greatly missed by his friends, family and work associates.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dave is survived by his wife, Cheri; a daughter and a son from a previous marriage; two step-children; and two step grandchildren, whom he dearly loved and cherished the wonderful times they spent together.

As per his wishes, he was cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
