Flora (McDaniel) Goodwin
March 7, 1913 ~ October 13, 2008

Flora Goodwin, 95, of Run Away Bay area at Lake Eufaula, passed away at her home, October 13, 2008.Flora was born March 7, 1913 to Charley Lorn and Missey Rilla (Redburn) McDaniel in West Plains, Missouri.

She married Alva Claborn Goodwin at Watonga, Oklahoma in 1929. She was a wife, mother and homemaker. She loved to quilt, crochet crafts, and loved church and gospel singing.

Flora is survived by four daughters, Wanda and husband James Reed of Ridge Crest, California, Maxine Guthrie of Wainwright, Oklahoma, Bertha and husband Bob Reed of Anaconda, Montana, Rilla and husband Donald White of Bakersfield, California; one son, Lloyd G. Goodwin of Run Away Bay area of Lake Eufaula, with whom she lived, and one sister-in-law, Elsie Leach of Lamont, California. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.

Flora was preceded in death by her husband, Alva Claborn Goodwin, and son Harold D. Goodwin, her parents, one grandson, one granddaughter, one great-grandson, one great-granddaughter, and one son-in-law, Virgil F. Guthrie Jr.

She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.

A memorial service for Flora will be held at the North Fork Baptist Church, Eufaula, Oklahoma, at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 25, 2008, officiated by Pastor Bruce Sanders and Steve Morgan.

The family has entrusted final arrangements for Flora to Johnson's of Eufaula.
