Steven Edward Goodman, 60, of Cleveland, Oklahoma passed from us on March 3, in the presence of his wife and son. A beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Steve was a loyal, generous, hard-working jack-of-all-trades.
Born on October 4, 1964, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Frank and Vella Goodman, Steve was the youngest of five children. At the age of 17, Steve joined The National Guard with eagerness to serve his country. During his service, he rose to 2nd Lieutenant, Chemical Officer. In 1984, Steve began working at Stone Container in Sand Springs. He later accepted employment for the City of Tulsa at the Water Treatment Plant, where he retired from in November 2021.
On May 17, 1985, Steve married his love, Pamela (Goodwin) Goodman, who diligently cared for him through his cancer battle for the last three years of his life. Steve was a faithful husband; his passing comes just two months before their 40th wedding anniversary. They welcomed their first son, Mark, in 1987, and their second son, Chase, in 1990. In 2017, they added to their family two adopted sons, Jordan and Jace.
Steve is survived by, his wife, Pamela Goodman; his children: Mark Goodman of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Chase (Breanna) Goodman, of Rockaway Beach, Oregon, Jordan and Jace Goodman of the home; his grandchildren: Brooklyn and Wilder Goodman, of Rockaway Beach, Oregon; his mother, Vella Goodman of Cleveland, Oklahoma and her husband John Horton; his sisters: Pamela (Jerry) Buzzard of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Gayle (Gary) Buzzard of Cleveland, Oklahoma; his father-in-law Cecil Goodwin of Mannford, Oklahoma, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Steve is proceeded in death by his father, Frank Goodman; his brothers: Mark Goodman and Frank Goodman Junior; his mother-in-law, Jimmy Sue Goodwin; and his nephew, Jett Brummett.
A service in memory of Steve will be held at Cleveland Community Church in Cleveland, Oklahoma at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 7, 2025. We'll miss you forever and always, Poppy.
