July 23, 1940 ~ April 01, 2019

The Graveside Services Celebrating and Honoring the life of James Goodman, 78, of Enid will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday April 04, 2019 in the Bazaar Cemetery in Bazaar, Kansas. With Chaplain Peter Rose officiating. Full Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army Honor Guard. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

He was born July 23, 1940 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma to Louis and Jessie Young Goodman and passed from this life on April 01, 2019 in Enid, Oklahoma.

He was raised and educated in Broken Bow, OK. He enlisted in the United States Army where he earned his GED and served until, he was honorably discharged in 1969. He was a past member of the Carnival (Glass) Club of Wichita, Kansas from 2001 – 2017. He raised Minorca shell chickens and enjoyed participating in poultry shows. He also enjoyed fishing. He met Rob Martin in Oregon and together they were a couple for over thirty-five years. He loved his little Papillon puppy named Sunny. She was the apple of his eye.

He is survived by Rob Martin, of Enid Oklahoma, brother Minor Ray Goodman, of Wright City, Oklahoma, nieces Deila McDonald, of Broken Bow, OK. and Tammy Shaw of Hillsborough, Kansas and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and several brothers and sisters.
