Gene C. Goodman

July 21, 1950 ~ January 25, 2017

Memorial services for Gene C. Goodman, 66, of Ada are 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Wayne Edgar will officiate.

Mr. Goodman passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born July 21, 1950 at Ada to Aaron H. and Oneta Edwards Goodman. He attended Byng schools and graduated from Byng High School. He also attended East Central University.

He married Geraldine Bolin January 26, 2004. Mr. Goodman was in the oilfield industry on the North slope of Alaska and later he was employed in maintenance with the Chickasaw Nation, retiring four years ago. Mr. Goodman served in the U. S. Army from August 29, 1969 - January 27, 1972 and from January 28, 1972 - August 29, 1975. He served two tours in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne Division.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine, of the home; a son, Michael Gene Goodman and wife Gina of Ada; daughter, Leslie Cooper of Ada; two brothers, Billy Don Goodman and wife Carolyn of Ada and Roger Goodman and wife Sheila of Sulphur; four sisters, Shelva Jean Welch of Ada, Pat Russell and husband Jack of Konawa, Linda Sue Edgar and husband Wayne of Sulphur and Lawana Faulkenberry and husband Mike of Guthrie; and three grandchildren, Mikayla, Joey and Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Betty Adams.
