Cloan Marie (Pogue) Goodman

Cloan Marie (Pogue) Goodman
August 17, 1929 ~ February 28, 2026

Cloan Marie Pogue Goodman was born on August 17, 1929, to Fred and Alice Pogue in Cleveland, Oklahoma. She was the eldest of four children. Cloan attended all 12 years in the Cleveland School and graduated with the Class of 1947.

She went to work at C.R. Anthony Co. for Jim Kysar in the fall of 1947, working until the Fall of 1951. At that time, she went to work for the City of Cleveland when LaVelle Schornick was City Manager and then J.D. Cheek as City Manager until November 1956.

Cloan met the love of her life, Paul Ray Goodman in the Summer of 1953. They were married on August 7, 1954, and set up residence in Cleveland. They moved to Sand Springs in 1957, lived there for nine years until their move to Prue in 1965. During this time, they had two children, Wendell and Lisa.

Cloan went to work for the U.S. Postal Service in December of 1972 as a clerk. On June 4, 1977, she was appointed and served as Postmaster until she retired in August of 1991. In 1990, Cloan and Paul Ray relocated back to Cleveland living out their days on the street named after her dad!

Cloan is survived by her daughter Lisa Goodman, three grandchildren Candi Baldridge and her husband Greg Baldridge, Zachary Goodman and Lanie Brooks and her husband Kyle Brooks; one great grandchild Blaine Baldridge, one brother Jim Pogue, multiple nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Alice Pogue, husband Paul Ray Goodman, Son and daughter in law Wendell and Kim Goodman, brother Fred Pogue, sister Mary Jane Reed and the whole Class of 1947.
