Bertha Alicia “Lolly” Gonzalez
July 24, 1970 ~ November 4, 2011 (age 41)

“Lolly” Bertha Alicia Gonzalez, 41, passed away Friday, November 4, 2011 in Norman, Oklahoma.  She was born July 24, 1970 in Laredo, Texas to Jose and Bertha (Cortez) Gonzalez.

Lolly was the oldest of six children and grew up and attended schools in Lawton and Norman.  For over 18 years she worked as a legal assistant in Purcell, Oklahoma, where she was known for her pleasant smile and readiness to help both professionals and clients who contacted the law office. Lolly was a loving and caring daughter, sister, and mother and will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Lolly is survived by her daughters, Destiny Gonzalez of Norman, and Rebecca and Monica Claudio of Davies, Florida; brothers, Jose Gonzalez, Jr. of Norman, Leon Gonzalez and his wife Sandra of Davies, Florida, and Francisco Gonzalez of Norman; sisters Josie Fentriss and her husband Ford; and Velinda Gonzalez, all of Norman; nieces and nephews Cayman and Kyla Fentriss of Norman and Brandon and Isabella Gonzalez of Davies, Florida; and her father Jose Gonzalez, and his wife Pamela Rogers and stepbrothers, Derek Nickens and “Trey” Ronald Barnes, of Norman.  She is preceded in death by her mother, Bertha C. Gonzalez on August 27, 2009.

Memorial Service and Reception will be held on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church Hall on the corner of 4th St. and Jefferson St. in Purcell, Oklahoma.  Arrangements for Lolly and her family were placed in the care of the Vice Family at Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.  Online condolences may be shared at www.havenbrookfuneralhome.com
