Mary Kathryn Gonser, born December 3, 1956, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in Bartlesville on July 16, 2025, surrounded by her cherished loved ones.
A devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Kathy brought warmth, laughter and a touch of sass to every room she entered. After graduating from Bartlesville Beauty College, she dedicated her life to her career as a hairstylist, building deep and lasting relationships with her clients, many of whom became lifelong friends. Her chair was more than just a place for a haircut—it was a place for stories, comfort and connection.
Kathy’s true joy came from the simple but profound pleasures of life: praising her Lord, time spent with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, riding on the back of a motorcycle, and the thrill of a good pool game.
Known for her spunky spirit and strong will, Kathy was never afraid to speak her mind, but her fierce loyalty and deep love for those close to her always shone through. Her legacy lives on in the laughter of her grandkids, the stories shared by friends and family, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness and vibrant personality. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Kathy is survived by her children, Nathan (Kelsey) Barham and Dakota (Lyndsey Parks) Gonser; siblings, Clay (Kathy) Barham, Jimmy (Marcia) Barham, Mitzi (Mike) Richardson, Becky (Leon) Russell and Buddy (Lora) Barham; grandchildren, Ryann Barham, Cooper Barham, Ember Gonser and Marcus Hamblin; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents C.O. “Bunt” and Ruth Lee (Longley) Barham, and sister Sissy Clevenger.
Services will be held on Saturday, August 2 at 1 p.m., at the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel.
