Benny D. Gonce, age 61, of Elgin passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton.

Benny was born July 1, 1956 in Amarillo, TX to Ollie D. and Elsie "Louise" Gonce. He graduated from Dublin High School and attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. He married Marion Opitz on June 24, 1984 in Stephenville. They moved to Lawton in 1985 and then to Elgin in 1990. Benny enjoyed making jewelry, drawing, painting, collecting rocks, learning new things and sharing his infinite wisdom with others. He found great joy in building and fixing anything he could get his hands on. He loved spending time and entertaining his only grandchild, Elexsia.

Preceded in death by his father, Ollie and brother, Charles Wayne, Benny is survived by his wife, Marion, of the home; his daughter Jennifer Gonce; granddaughter, Elexsia and his mother, Louise along with many other members of his extended family.
