Robert Lewis Goffinett

Robert Lewis Goffinett
July 19, 1940 ~ June 1, 2025

Robert L Goffinett was born to Merle L Goffinett and Pearl I Wise-Goffinett on July 19, 1940, in McLeansboro, Illinois. He became a truck driver at 15 years old and continued his whole life around trucks and heavy equipment. He was still working when he passed. He married his wife, Betty, on May 27, 1993, I Las Vegas, Nevada. They made their home in Cortez, Colorado. He worked for the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe at Weeminuche Construction Co. (WCA) for 18 years.

In 2003, Bob and Betty moved to Luther, Oklahoma so they could team rope year-round. He loved his family and his horses more than anything! He was the best dad to all of Betty’s children and even adopted her son as his own. He was truly a family man, wonderful stepfather, husband, grandfather and great-grandfather to Heather, his daughter, and her three children, Jessica and Maverick Dorenkamp and Casey Robert Zahorka. His son, Quinton T. Goffinett and his two children, Elizabeth and Alexander Goffinett. His adopted grandchildren, Paytyn Blocker and Nydra McLaughlin; and great-grandson, Rhyott, the new sparkle in his eye. His stepson Tracy Goodman and son-in-law Bobby Stidman. He loved each and every one of them the same.

Rest in peace, our hero and know that you were so loved by your family and friends.
