Jacquelyn Sonja Godwin
December 19, 1962 ~ May 26, 2020

Jacquelyn Sonja Godwin departed this life on May 26, 2020 at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa, OK at the age of 57, 5 months and 7 days.

A beautiful baby girl was born named Jacquelyn Sonja Godwin December 19, 1962 to Harold Jack and Dorothy Vivian Godwin.

Jacquelyn professed Jesus Christ as her Lord and was baptized at Pilgrim Baptist Church by Rev. A.L. Conley. She was a member of the choir and loved singing "Step By Step We'll Make this Journey" and "Up Above My Head". She later became a member of New Life International Worship Center where she served under the leadership of Pastor Eric. D. Parker in Bristow, OK.

Jacquelyn attended Bristow Public Schools and graduated in 1981. During high school she was active in choir, basketball, softball and track. She went on to further her education at Central State University in Edmond, OK and studied Mortuary Science. Jacquelyn also attended Jenks Beauty College and studied Cosmetology. She had a love for doing hair and making others feel good about themselves. Jacquelyn was employed with Kwikset Black and Decker Company in Bristow, Ok until she was injured on the job.

Jacquelyn affectionately known as "Candy" & "Sweets". She had a love for all people and never met a stranger. She would greet everyone with her affectionate smile and always had a positive word to share with you. She would always leave you with the words "Show me some love & "Be Encouraged". Jacquelyn had a passion for cooking and you could feel the love in every bite. She also enjoyed dancing, singing, and making others laugh. What really gave her the most fulfillment was sharing the love of Christ and visiting the elderly in the nursing home. She was a giver and loved helping others.

She leaves to mourn three beautiful daughters: Tazia Godwin and Classica Godwin, Bristow, OK. Alexis Lewis of Tulsa, OK. Four brothers: Hubert Dwight Jones, OKC, OK; Mark Bryon Jones Tulsa, OK; Harold Jay Jones, Wichita, KS and Robert "Bobby" Lovey Godwin (Marcia) , Moberly, MO. Two Sisters: Della Betty Vanessa Jones, Tulsa, OK and Toni Denise Godwin, Bristow, OK

15 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren. A very loving Aunt: Lillie Williams, San Diego, CA. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Her parents; Husband, Joe Crawford; A Beloved Son, Joey Maurice Crawford; Brothers, Clarence Godwin, Michael Jones; Sister Debra Wallace; One Sister In-Law: Lalita Jones all proceeded her in death.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Friday, June 5, 2020 at Trinity Baptist Church in Bristow.
